Application Review & Adjudication: Evaluate incoming applications for the Veteran ID Card submitted via AccessVA. Verify critical veteran documentation, including character of discharge (e.g., DD214, DD256 forms) and valid government-issued identification (driver's licenses or passports).
Photo Quality Control: Review uploaded user photos to ensure they comply with strict federal security standards (passport-style alignment, neutral expression, white/plain background, clarity).
Technical Help Desk Support: Assist Veterans navigating technical hurdles on VA.gov or AccessVA, such as login authentication failures (ID.me or Login.gov issues), missing application links, or system glitches.
Escalation & Inquiry Management: Track, manage, and log support tickets using internal ticketing platforms. Escalate complex record discrepancies (e.g., unknown or uncharacterized discharge statuses requiring National Personnel Records Center retrieval) to higher administrative levels.
Information Security (PII): Handle sensitive veteran records, Social Security Numbers, and personal documentation in strict compliance with HIPAA, the Privacy Act, and VA data security guidelines.
Key Qualifications
Experience in customer service, call center environments, or IT help desk tier-1 support.
Familiarity with military discharge documentation (DD214).
Strong capability to navigate multi-screen databases and identity verification software.

Remediation & Error Correction: Work closely with administrative personnel, developers, or clinical teams to resolve data defects, correct coding errors, and standardize formats across systems.
Compliance & Standards Enforcement: Ensure all handled data aligns with national standards and internal VA data governance frameworks.

Key Qualifications

Key Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent (Associate degree preferred).
2–4 years of progressive clerical or administrative experience (DoD or military background preferred).
Strong proficiency in data entry and office management platforms (Microsoft 365, advanced Excel functions).
Clearance: Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance or a favorable National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI) background check.

In- & Out-Processing: Conduct thorough in-processing and out-processing briefings for personnel arriving at or departing the installation. Verify duty status reporting (leave, temporary duty [TDY], or deployment states).
Records Auditing: Regularly cross-check active files with source documents to catch data mismatches, ensure compliance with Air Force Instructions (AFIs), and rectify record errors.
Command Support: Act as a critical resource for the Commander’s Support Staff (CSS), providing supervisors and commanders with accurate personnel rosters, manning metrics, and status reports.
Key Requirements
2+ years of human resources, military personnel, or administrative clerk experience.
Prior experience utilizing MilPDS, DEERS, or similar federal HR management tracking tools is highly desired.
Strong knowledge of military rank structures, customs, and personnel regulations (AFIs).
Clearance: Active DoD Secret Security Clearance or favorable background adjudication is standard.

Task Management (TMT): Receive, track, and distribute official tasks and action items via the Task Management Tool (TMT). Ensure responses from action officers meet tight deadlines and align with proper military routing standards.
Document Standardization: Review, format, and edit outward-facing correspondence, memorandums, and evaluations to ensure strict compliance with the Air Force Tongue and Quill manual.
Visitor Protocol & Communications: Serve as the primary point of contact for the executive office. Screen phone calls, manage official mail, and greet visiting military dignitaries, contractors, and civilian personnel.
Key Requirements
3+ years of executive administrative support experience, ideally within a federal agency or military command.
Mastery of professional English grammar, spelling, and executive-level document formatting.
Experience navigating specialized DoD systems like the Defense Travel System (DTS) and Task Management Tool (TMT).
Clearance: DoD Secret Security Clearance.
